It is both a sad and happy day in the Pipe World!

I receieved this email from Rad Davis earlier today: Hi Dave, After much thought over the past few months, I have decided that it's time for me to retire from pipe making and relax. I don't make this decision lightly, but since late November when I took a few weeks off, fully intending to get...

    Park Lane Tobacconist Red Paramour.

I just revisited this fine offering after going a year without smoking any. I have some jarred, but smoked the new batch I got in an order this week. I forget the poor sweetness and slight peppery taste this VAPer has.The further down the bowl you went the sweeter it got. I would highly...

    Becker Two Clubs and......!

Picked this up a few weeks ago and much to my surprise, it is a Limited Edition Becker.  Here is what I know.  In 2004 the North Oakland Pipe and Tobacco Club of Michigan commissioned Paolo Becker to make these pipes.  That is the extent of what I know.  I am not sure how many club pipes where...

    Am I odd?

I open up a tin or jar from my cellar and then only smoke that blend till it is empty. I will have an English Blend and a VA going at the same time though. Just wondering if anyone else is like this.

    VA Doctors.

I had a regular appt. with one of my docs today. I told him I quit the coffin nails about a month ago. I then told him I was still smoking my pipes and cigars. This was not a good thing. He damn near ripped me a new one. Not once did he say good job on quitting the cigs. Kinda makes ya wonder!

    "Leeds" Made Ben Wade Billiard

Purchased this pipe about a month ago and it was in sad shape.  Stem covered in oxidation, dull finish and a crack in the shank. It has been years since I had to send a pipe of for restoration and I asked a few of my friends and they recommended Floyd Norwood.  I packed the pipe up and in less...

    Parker Baccyflap

I have been on the hunt for one of these for many years.  This little piece of bakelite is not the easiest pipe collectible to come across.  I found this one on eprey last week at a very reasonable price and did the BIN.  I waited for the package to see if I did alright and lo and behold I did!

Help On James Barber, "Les Wood" Carved York Pipe.

I purchased this pipe earlier in the year and it is a 3*** Cherrywood carved by Les Wood. It does have the L&JS hallmark on the silver band. Here is the only information I have on it, an email from James Barber: Dear David, We had these pipes made by Les Wood as we had a dispute with the USA...
