    New TWSBI Diamond 580 ALR

How do you like the 580 for size? Do the ridges on the section irritate your fingers at all? The next TWSBI bought will probably come from Mark Bacas at NibGrinder.com —I would like him to grind a reversible architect or reversible cursive italic. Love how the demonstrator body really shows...

    Franklin-Christoph

Anybody have much experience with Franklin-Christoph pens?  They seem to be very highly regarded with everything I've read on the web.  They're almost exclusively sold direct from the company, with occasional special or exclusive editions sold through retailers. They have a number of models...

    New Pen Day

Brief update, I got the TWSBI and inked it up with the Robert Oster Thunderstorm. The TWISBI eco is a fantastic pen and now I wish I had bought a few of the limited edition 580al colors. Such is the sentiment of missed opportunities and feeling left out whenever you find something you like and...

    What's This Guy's Nut?

They would probably have a lot more of my money if I wasn't already elbows deep in the pipe collecting rabbit hole. I don't mind buying from business like Goulet, Vanness, etc. instead of just ordering from Amazon and getting my free 2day shipping. Plus, when I finally decide to drop a...

    Country Lawyer plus Perique

Have you tried John Patton's Dark Horse? Available at 4noggins.com. It's an excellent blend, and named after a man of sterling character. Two Burleys, Cigar Leaf, Oriental/Turkish, Perique, Virginia. It lacks the black cavendish found in Country Lawyer, and Im not sure that either burley...

    New Pen Day

So my parents aren't really fond of my pipe smoking... I mean they can appreciate the art in some of the pipes, and the desire to slow down and enjoy life's quiet moments. But neither of them smoke and can't get past the undertones of health risk etc. My mom has made it clear there will be no...

    Rattray's Vintage Army Series

Yea, the Chacom army mounts look very similar to the Rattray's, I think you're probably right.

    Uhle's Tobacco

Stopped by Uhle's on the way up to Door County, enjoyed a bowl of Blend 00 in a cob yesterday while at the beach. I'm not much of a reviewer, but I enjoyed the tobacco quite a bit. I also got some Perfection Plug and Blend 300. Thanks for the recommendations!

    a small panel?

How about this estate Musico Sandblasted Panel Billiard with Bone? I've heard wonderful things about the Musico line of pipes, and it's a steal at less than $150. I've never had problems with SmokingPipes estate buys.

    Uhle's Tobacco

My wife and I are going on vacation next week in Door County, WI and I'm hoping to convince her that a stop by Uhle's is a worthwhile use of time. I am hoping to get "Blend 00" and "Perfection Plug". What else? Are there any other "must buy" blends? Adam
