after a day outside picking at stuff and then inside and making some food with a nice NZ sauvignon blanc (I am a pinot guy and rarely drink whites - but this one was nice) i had a bowl of gaslight in a burak oompaul. storms almost here.

cloudy morning - storms predicted the last week and the next 12 days or so seem to be scarce and the last 7 years or so the weather people must be smoking something else, if you get my drift - they are basically 90% wrong. had a pot of coffee and a bowl of spark plug in a preben. inside now...

that is my Holy Grail in all seriousness.  Since Balkan Sobranie 759 is no longer available - Gaslight is it!  Just luscious! maybe that is the reason for all of my typos (plus the arthritis throughout my body). you can send your gaslight to me at......... i usually have 5-6 lbs at all times...

wwell had my woodford. now what? :-) bought the biggest bottle they had 2x in a row. use a glencairn glass if you have it.

i guess i meant that all of the meers smoked differently overall. and esp quality. some sucked and some smoked great and a couple of rare ones re: taste were magical! does that answer your question???? maybe i need more coffee or tea.

enjoy Sid! Nice pic.  I always smoke a pipe outside so i can see he trees which there are hundreds of them in my yard and also my garden and also vineyards.  Cardinals are aplenty as well as so many other birds and creatures.  Herds of deer, etc. had a bowl of spark plug in a dublin preben...

last update: after a 3rd bowl of this today I have decided to have some of this around as an ocassional companion to gaslight - which says a lot for me AND Spark Plug! :-)

did a 2nd bowl this morning and it was nice. mid range spice was a bit moe pronounced today. same pipe. I did notice that even with 2 bowls only - it ghosted the pipe when i tried a bowl of gaslight later in the day. you could taste the spice and oreintals and unique lat for the first half...

i have had great smoking briars and middle of the road ones and some utterly yech! I also have had many higher end meers and a few signed meers but bit easier in price and they too all smoked differently Never tried clay. The top meer smokers were wondrous as well as the top briars. and i do...

From my own history and pipes/pipesmoking 1968 - but i believe it was a bit earlier. really popped in the very early 70's. (Not Gospel) Praise the Lord Preben! heh heh heh

Well after a long wait i finally tried 1 bowl in a Preben Holm. After 75 plus lbs. of Gaslight - I was very curious. The big brownie was magnificent in aroma. Wow! If only it tasted as good as it smelled as a bar. I realize this is a rather quick review/commentary; however will do another...
