    Binge-worthy TV shows?

I was pretty bored through Napoleon. Lot of battle scenes, the hots for Josephine, and very little into what made this man “tick” I learned more about Wellington with his 6 minutes on screen.

    Bourbon, Irish Whiskey or Scotch?

Two things to consider on the subject of whisky with a prominent peat flavor. I may have suggested this before, but I'm of an age, I'm allowed to repeat what little wisdom I have. If you are one for hot cereal, porridge , oats, etc in the morning....splash a wee amount whisky in your cooking...

    Bourbon, Irish Whiskey or Scotch?

I understand the hesitancy with too much peat. It can be off-setting for many. In its defense Laphroaig, which I've enjoyed many, many a-times, is a delightful journey on a snowy evening in the highlands whilst the fire frames the conversation. "Just a wee bit more in my glass, to take the...

    Bourbon, Irish Whiskey or Scotch?

The 18 year old Caol Ila will bring a song of revolution to your lips and leave your pockets empty .

    Bourbon, Irish Whiskey or Scotch?

If you enjoy a wee kiss of peat in your scotch whisky, a wee touch of honey, and a wee touch of cream try Caol Ila. That is pronounced 'Cull-Eela'. It doesn't have the winter peat taste or smell of Laphroaig that alienates some folks. It seems to me to have all the elements that make a great whisky.

What do you smoke while fishing?

Cube cut burley....in a cob...sometimes with a wind cap I fly fish a fair amount...and I dropped a rather lovely Peterson decades ago in a stream in the north island of New Zealand. Always 2 or 3 cobs in my fishing vest. If I drop one out of my mouth, or hand, or pocket..I stay with the...

    Tobacco reviews

I have a hard and fast rule when the techies step-in to desiminate our findings. If it takes more than “3- clicks” for anyone to find the subject we are revealing or addressing, you aren’t working hard enough.

    Tobacco reviews

I’m abit of a luddite when it comes to computers, iPhones, etc… I’ve tried to navigate around the new Reviews website and generally found myself being returned to the main page. Generally, I have found in this situation that hitting the computer and swearing seems to help.

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Always liked the look of this pipe....Popular shape at Dunhill...But I always find the edges of the mouthpiece a little "sharp" and uncomfortable for the sides of my mouth. I've tried maybe 3 different pipes...all beauties...all size 4, EK...same irritation.

    Binge-worthy TV shows?

Some of these, I'm sure, have been mentioned.... "Yellowstone", "1923","1883"...all are connected. "1883" is pretty amazing storytelling. If you enjoyed the above watch "Hell or High Water" by the same author. "Outlander".....wow, just wow...Im not much of a fan of science fiction, but this...

    Relighting a Pipe

As a reference , Sherlock Holmes apparently started his day afresh with the "dottles" from his previous day's pipefuls. From "The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb" Sherlock Holmes was, as I expected, lounging about his sittingroom in his dressing-gown, reading the agony column of The Times and...
