    Brigham POTY 2022

Apologies on the late reply! As for how they smoke they are my personal favourite. The distillator isn’t for everyone but I find that it’s great in the breaking in process and then I don’t use them personally. My Brigham’s are workhorse pipes and almost all of them are easy on the pocket...

    Brigham POTY 2022

Another cracker of a pipe from Brigham this year as the 2022 honours the Rideau Canal in Ontario in its “Skater” shape. 125 made this year and from what I hear they are hard to get hands on. Gorgeous flame grain and finish from an affordable pipe maker who I feel is really hitting stride with...

    My pipes

Great collection of Meers! All the colouring of them done by yourself?

    My collection as of today

Apologies Blackhorse! My job takes me to various parts of Canada at a moments notice and I forget about the boards for awhile. The green stain on my Peterson Celtic has faded a bit and seems to have developed a slight yellow on the rim. As for my St.Patrick’s day pipes the green is as good as...

    My collection as of today

They are both Peterson’s St.Patrick’s Day pipes. The billiard from 2017 and the sitter from 2020 I believe.

    My collection as of today

The Lorenzetti freehand (2nd one down on far left row) is my best smoker. Then my Brigham poker 2007 pipe of the year is my all-rounder. (Top of 3rd row) then my Brigham Chinook Canadian 4th row 5th pipe down gets smoked the most. these three get used most but I couldn’t narrow down an...

    Anybody here a Brigham man?

I would consider myself a Brigham man. I have about 15-20 of them including the poker shape from the new Tundra line. As for the maple rock filters I almost exclusively use them for the break-in period of the pipes, (10-20 good smokes) I basically run water through them and let them dry out for...

    Brigham POTY 2021

Excellent pipe! I was able to snag #2. Love the taller bowl compared to the Lowlander and the thicker chamber walls as I’m an almost exclusive outdoor smoker. Let us know how it smokes!

    Brigham POTY 2020

It is but Brighams top-end is still pretty affordable. This ran me about $190 Canadian so around 130-140 USD I’d put it at. Only 120 made so pretty collectible.

    Brigham POTY 2020

A real corker from Brigham this year. Their “Lowlander” shape with piper tamper and collectible scotch tube holder. Smokes well so far

Now what is the best Oom Paul shape you have ever seen?

    Definitive Shapes

I always think of Dunhills with this finish and a Cumberland stem

    Definitive Shapes

Hello all, I figured I’d post what will hopefully be a fun thread. With so many variations in pipe shapes and finishes I was wondering if any of you have an opinion on the definitive shape, maker, or finish on a particular pipe shape? Think of it like cars, Ferrari’s come in all colours but I...

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Some of my “All sorts” English tonight in a forgotten Peterson Kinsale XL15. It is a balmy +1°C in Edmonton Canada. It is usually -18°C right now so I am seizing the warmth!

    Happy Thanksgiving ya filthy animals!

Happy American Thanksgiving. It’s +1°C here! Or about 36°F for you guys, unseasonably warm!

    Charred pipe rims...need advice

I have gotten into the habit of actually putting a bit of spit on the rim prior to any lighting and my pipes have zero char. Also friendly reminder to sanitize any estate pipe!

    X-ray

I’ve only had two bowls in it and I take it rather slow so no, also the angle might be skewed as that pipe was the furthest away from the source of radiation and also was not resting perfectly on its side(there are some ghosts of the ball of tape I used for positioning under that one and the two...

    X-ray

Yes, they were taken on a digital X-Ray panel. I x-ray welds for a living.
