    Musings on a new Peterson...

One really has to look close at the photos when buying new Petes now. A lot more sub par pipes are making it through final inspection that shouldn’t. That said one can definitely still find good Petes but you have to be much more vigilant now. I agree with the above about the new heritage stain...

    Guidance

Just depends on the two parties selling, Vanilla Cream probably wont change too much with aging and its not especially rare. As far as aging, dont let tins or jars get too hot and its best to keep them from being exposed to huge temperature swings. IE keep them inside your home. Welcome to the...

I Swear, I Think I Like Buying and Aging Tobacco More Than I Do Smoking It...

With the way things are going its always a good idea to add more leaf to the cellar. But perhaps add some things that will give better results than cloud hopper with some age. Luxury Bullseye flake, Newminster 400, Escudo, Capstan, Orlik Golden Sliced etc if you are after virginia perique blends.

Proper Way to Care For a Silver Spigot...

Interesting you would steer away from silver spigots. I could see avoiding them due the price but they look great and the ability to take down the pipe mid smoke if needed is a nice plus! With that said just get a silver polishing cloth, available on amazon and everywhere really. Just gently...

Why Are There No Match Blends for Esoterica ?

Esoterica is still made, but Arango holds it back releasing it now it seems only once a year. Jf Germaine’s production could also be down since the pandemic. They used pre aged leaf and old processes that cannot be replicated. McClelland sadly closed shop in 2017-18 due to leaf availability...

    Esoterica Help Needed

The last run of Smokers Haven tins Premal had them tinned in flat pancake style tins if I remember correctly...they tasted the same to me except maybe some age on the ones I had jarred. I recently smoked some In B Tween, just as good as ever!

Are we training ourselves to be attention deficit?

Totally agree. While most here it’s probably not an issue, but kids 35 and under? Forget it. Unless they had astute parents the damage is done. My wife’s younger brother is 28. He literally, and when I say literally I mean it, cannot go 5 minutes without looking at his phone. His parents did...

    Jim's P&W 515 Review

@JimInks when you say "floral" do you mean lakeland, or more like the traditional floral like Ernie did in his recent Elf Dandruff blend?
