    Cavicchi B*lbo

He probably drills the best engineered full-bents in the business. Get it while it's still available.

Pease Key Largo in an IMP acorn.

Broken pipe, loss of a Canadian pioneer

The first two pipes I ever bought were Brigham's and I still smoke them both today. Great pipes, Great Company. RIP Herb.

What brand of DE Blades do you use in your Safety Razor?

I'm a Feather dealer so that's about all I use. They are the sharpest iMO. red pack Personnas are also good, as are Astras. I wasn't impressed with the Sharks as much, but they aren't bad.

    PG problem with PA

There is so much PG in PA that after I smoke PA my throat feels raw. I'd give up the pipe before I smoked PA again.

    Request for input

I would say the number is reversed, at best! The majority of pipe smokers and collectors don't even know the forums exist.

    Request for input

phone contact, i believe, would negatively affect your business. Nowadays, many people like to communicate via email. I email 30-40 people a day; if I had to call them, I'd probably cut half of them out, or more. that said, it's nice to talk over the phone sometimes. Another problem I see...

Balsa Filter Experiment - What the H_ll?

If you want a great wood filter, check out the older Brigham's; I have two and I'm constantly on the prowl for more, their filter system is genius.

    Quality over Quantity

I'd rather have 4-5 stunners than 40-50 mediocre pipes, so I also believe in quality over quant.

Balsa Filter Experiment - What the H_ll?

Trevor, Your comments got me curious. I've read many of your posts over the years and you seem to approach things without bias. On the weekend I ordered a 9mm Stanwell pipe to try with a bunch of Vauen filters... time to experiment a little.

Does the pipe really make THAT much difference????

I agree, the pipe makes a big difference.

    Mason jars vs Original tins

Jars are definitely way better, but if you decide you want to sell a blend you no-longer fancy, you need to have them in their original tins.

    My "Man Cave"

    That's awesome!

I am jumping into the DE razor fun.

That is a beaut! If you ever need any FEATHER of Japan products, I'm an authorized dealer. I also run RazoRock.com if you ever want to try Alum. Traditional wet shaving is pure pleasure, I'm glad to hear you dumped the disposables and went 'old school'.

    New pipe break in

I'm no fan of coatings, I won't buy anymore pipes that come coated. As for breaking-in, I will moisten the inside of the bowl with a little water, then load the bowl with Carter Hall or 5100 and smoke it nice and easy.

Honda Prius holds up pretty well

Great to hear everybody was ok, including your wife. That is a Toyota Pruis.

    My collection thus far

I like the Cavicchi and the Stanwell... great start!

    Carter or the Prince?

I really enjoy CH, especially in a Cob... I'm not a fan of PA; I find my throat gets irritated after I smoke it, seems like it laced with a lot of PG.

    McClelland Three Oaks Syrian

This is my favorite English blend. For my palate it's absolute latakia perfection. I never got the spiciness you mentioned but I guess it's a case of YMMV.
