Can you ever have too much tobacco?

You can definitely smoke too much tobacco, but you can never have enough cellared.

    Oriental forward? (and virginia tips?)

If you can still find any Dunhill EMP, it's definitely an oriental forward Virginia blend and one of my faves. GLP Embarcadero is also one to try.

Mac Baren Virginia No.1 or Newminster No.400 or?

If you can find Mac B Gold Block that's pretty tasty. Similar to Virginia #1. Also Gold Brick by Wessex is superb. Honey notes. MMMM.

So I'm a Burley guy... what does that mean?

That women want you and men want to be you.:ROFLMAO: Nah, just means that there are tons of great burley blends out there to discover now.

Mad Magazine's Al Jaffee Dies at 102.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I remember his stuff from Mad Magazine years ago.

    Makes ya proud.!

Bet all the tobacco there is nice and moist!

    Question about ashes

I like to dump it as I go, especially with narrower bowls.

    Storage

I think keeping out of the sunlight is key for successful long term storage. Keep it in a cool, dark closet. Even indirect sunlight can cause the temperature to rise enough to affect the pressure of the seal. I'm not sure everyone would agree with me, but why take a chance?

    University Flake

I always liked Uni Flake. Been a while though. I remember it packed more of a wallop that I expected at first. A lot of Burley in there IIRC.

    Cellaring bulk tobacco

Yeah, any tobacco I've left in plastic bags has dried out very quickly. Some people say you can rehydrate it, but it never tastes quite the same after going bone dry IMHO. The little Ball jars are great for storing open tinned tobacco long term. Some guys even coat the Ball jar seal with wax...

    Gurgle or not

Sorry not to reply sooner scallywag. I'm not checking in as frequently these days. Long time BoB member George Dibos of Precision Pipe Repair made them for me. I haven't seen him post in a while but look him up. Incredible stem work.

    Gurgle or not

Sometimes a new stem can make a huge difference. I had a couple of gurgly Petes and when I had new stems made they stopped. I think the air flow was improved. Or something.

    Blade bank?

I've been thinking of getting myself something like that too. I'm using a little cardboard box and just drop the blades through a slit in the top. I can just toss the whole box out. Not fancy, but does the trick.

Sorry to bore you guys but I'm sooooo bored.

    Hang in there brother!

    Adding aromatic flavor to tobacco?

If you haven't already, maybe try rehydrating it and it could get a little flavor back. In my experience aromatics don't do too well after drying out completely. The spirit vanishes, lol.

    Native American Flute

I think Lizzo might be into different old flutes. Older American ones anyway... https://happymag.tv/lizzo-crystal-flute/

    Peterson pipe quality

It's a pain to remove the coating but worth it IMHO. Petersons have always had the longest break in period of any production pipe for me. Once I got past the hump, they've all been great pipes. I love 'em.

    Tins You Won’t Open?

It's funny because my first favorites were all Lat and Oriental blends. At one point it shifted hard to VaPers and then to more Burley laced goodies. Unfortunately it's been like a ratchet and hasn't sprung back yet. We'll see. Time's on our side, right?
