    Any Coloradans out there?

OR Coloradoan... I'm not sure which is right... Down to business, I haven't posted on here in a while, and with somewhat good reason, I was in basic training for the Army, then got sent to my permanent duty station, Ft. Carson, CO. A far cry from my native Buffalo, NY. But, being a pipe...

Help with a WDC Wellington pipe

As a Christmas present, I got some pipe racks and a box of estate pipes. Bulk were Dr. Grabows and Medicos from the '60s. There was a nice one I cleaned up, then I started on a full-bend WDC Wellington. On the metal band is the inverted triangle with WDC in it, and then the symbols (in order)...

Sent a pipe in for repair.... kind of.

I was smoking at night one time and dropped my pipe. It was fine when I picked it up though. Then when I was done I threw it in my pocket with what ever else was in there. Then I got to thinking. This pipe takes a lot of abuse, and it's my Peterson Malahide I picked up when I was in Ireland...

    Mead anyone?

Anyone ever drink mead? Also known as honey wine? It's honey and water fermented. One historian noted that when cultures discovered how to make it marked the change "from nature to culture". That's how prominent it was around the world, and how long it's been around. But, I enjoy it now and...

    Heresy or Genius?

I rode to a B&M I don't usually go to, and for some reason, was in the mood for a cigar, so I bought a few and smoked one there. I always carry a pipe with me, so when the cigar got short, I wondered what I could do, it was a nice $11 cigar, so I thought why toss a fifth of it away. This is...

    Cake problem

Some cake in one of my pipes has flaked off. Just under half way down a piece of the cake came off. So there's a small hole in the cake now, is that something to worry about? If it is, what should I do?

    Inhaling

How much of your pipe do you inhale? Never, every puff or some of the time? I used to never, then I started doing it every so often throughout the smoke. What do the rest of you say?

    Mixing snuffs

I don't know how many of you guys take your snuff blends straight, or ever try mixing it with one or more other blends, but I stumbled onto this one by grabbing the wrong box after a pinch. 3 parts Wilsons of Sharrows Wallflower and 2.5 parts Wilsons of Sharrows SM Gold. Neither snuff was my...

Do you have Prince Albert in a can?

We all know the joke, so here's what my father's answer was when he tried the joke. He was about eleven, making the year the early 60s. He called up an appropriate store, and proposed the questions, "Do you have Prince Albert in a can?" The store clerk, a then middle aged woman replied, "No. We...

    First try with snuff

Just picked up some Ozana President from a local B&M, after getting curious from the snuff board on the site. Not sure how I feel about the mentholated type of snuff. What would be a good non-mentholated?

    Pipe reflections

I posted this on my facebook a few weeks back after a night walk with a pipe. I thought maybe you fellows would like to read it. Has anything in this world still remained simple, unexploited by culture. Even eating and sleeping, the most basic of human needs have become huge, complex...

    Nice night for a walk

If there's some heavy boots, a scarf, a hat and a wool overcoat and gloves on hand. Just spent an hour walking with my pipe. Not a bad way to spend a sunday night. Anyone else go on walks while smoking?

    Hello all!

I'm new here, but have been smoking pipes for a year, now. I'm 19 and a good amount of my money goes to pipes. I have ten pipes all together, but play favorites with four or five of them. I hail from Buffalo, NY.
