Sorry for not responding guys, I've been under the weather the last couple of days.

Thank you all for your kind words, I hope that the operation was enjoyable for everyone, regardless who won.

@scotties22 Oh dear, I didn't expect the golden turkeys to derive such perverse pleasure from their 'award'. I should have anticipated it from you nut-jobs though... perhaps I should have made it some huge sig-unfriendly picture Smile

@roogles Glad you like your special award brother... I knew as soon as I saw that picture it was a perfect description of your 'award'.

gravel wrote:
We, the Golden Turkey target removal service, would like to see pictures of the loot you target hitting birds acquired.

Actually I was going to ask the winners if they would mind posting pictures of the pipes of the year, but forgot all about it, thanks for reminding me. If its possible winners, can we see the ill gotten gains? Might be nice to see what people got with the gift certificates too... but I'm sure nobody cares about the small handmade English clay pipes donated by some cheap SOB though...

I have no idea what I may have acquired, or when I shall acquire it, but will be sure to let you know when I do!

DrT, Rob in Mo, Fishfuzz and MisterE all got kills on the 3 square targets, which were the easiest to find and therefore linked to the smaller prizes. DrT, you have all won a small traditional clay pipe from England, more of a historical curiosity than a smoking pipe though I think. Rob is helping me send them out and I think he said he might have time to send them on Wednesday, if so they should be with you soon.

Folks, Destiny has made her way to my home! On my birthday no less! cheers

Pictures will be up later, right now I am getting ready to christen her with some Stonehaven.

Wait wait wait... I feel a migraine coming back... The black and tan was capricious, not destiny, you won the B&T. That's the one you got right? Never mind, I see your pipe listing includes a B&T now, so yeah it should be the right one. Smile Also happy birthday!

No problem Brother, I just got into a small panic there. You know that feeling you get when you know you know you were supposed to have done something or forgotten to do something but cant remember what? I was getting that. So, the pipes went to the right people, whew (meanwhile the oven I left on earlier sets fire to the house).

Those pictures, nor any of the other pictures I have drooled over on here, do this pipe justice!

You have to see and hold it to really know.

How well does she clench? At 3oz I imagine it's a bit heavy to be biting down on for any extended period of time.

yeah it is a little heavy for that. I'm not much of a clencher so it makes no difference to me.

If it's like my other clay, make certain you don't touch the bowl while smoking it!
