Sunday shooting, just because Empty
PostSubject: Sunday shooting, just because    Sunday shooting, just because EmptySun Mar 09, 2014 10:23 pm

Last time the sweetie and I were shooting handguns. Today it was rifles and shotguns, my first love. Although, note to self, if I want to avoid jello shoulders next time, start with the 22 and end with the 12 gauge, not the other way around. ;)We had a great time just shooting the swinging target and the pine tree (poor tree). First time firing a semi automatic shotgun, that was cool. Also first time firing (and being fired since he bought it) the Mosin-Nagant M91/30. That was really cool! And we finished with the semi automatic Marlin Model 60. And by that time, I had to shoot from kneeling due to a fore mentioned jello shoulders. :)We finished with our pipes on the porch in the late afternoon sun. Good day!

ETA: Trying out military grade buck shot with the Mossberg, that packs a punch. Smile

Ha! Sounds like you had a blast!  Wink

Seriously, though, it's good to see you having fun. I think I'm overdue for some time at the range myself.

Hey Girl, you look like a natural out there. Next time let's see some bulls eye targets for practice and really zero in on a target. As for the 12 gauge, get your man to bring you to a skeet or trap range and you will be hooked for life, believe me. Thanks for sharing your fun time, you have great form shooting and it's obvious that you know how to handle a firearm.
 cheers

Well thanks Doc, I appreciate the compliment. My dad used to teach hunters safety courses when I was a kid so I learned my way around a gun and how they are to be respected, at a very early age. I spent so many weekends shooting. I loved it and I got very precise with the 22. I miss it. I rekindled an old flame this weekend. Smile

Pretty sore this morning from muscle fatigue and a little bruising on the shoulder, but not bad and totally worth it. I told the sweetie I needed to start lifting again so I can rebuild my upper body strength, I was getting pretty shaky there towards the end.
