Thought it was worth posting that today is the 70th Anniversary of D-Day. I feel that too many Americans forget about days that commemorates Americans fighting to keep our freedom. If we forget our past we will be doomed to repeat them.

...Agreed...Far too many folks forget the sacrifices' many men and women made...and continue to make every day. I salute everyone that serves...or who has served. My father was a graduate of Annapolis and was a Commander during WWII and my mother was a Lt. in the Army Nurse Corp.

As far as it being a happy day, it is certainly sad.
Many many men lost there lives on the beaches of Normandy that day in 1944.
They should be remembered as heroes that gave there lives for there country and the fight against evil, Amen

Hard to believe that was 70 years ago! We really need to cherish the WWII Vets we have left. Soon there will be no more.
