Went to Adventure Outdoors just to "look" at some concealed carry revolvers. Ended up putting a Ruger LCRx 38 + P with 3" barrel on lay-away. I'll go one day next week if I get time to pick it up. Also ordered a White Hat Co holster for it... Pics when I get everything.

Those are funky looking pistols.  Never shot one but I've watched a lot of videos on them.    I like a Ruger product, own three of them.
Also REAL big on the 38 Spec.  You got lots of folk will tell you that you might as well go unarmed if you don't have at least a 20mm with a thousand round magazine... But I always figured if 5 hits don't get me out of trouble, regardless of caliber, I'm pretty well screwed anyway.

I like those. Got a S & W snubby model 10 myself, stamped "Peruvian detective" or something.

They're kind of different looking, that's for sure. I think I'm going to like it though. Here's what they look like, for anyone who doesn't know.

Here's the holster I ordered for it. Except mine has black screws instead of nickle.

I just dont care for revolvers, except cowboy action. I will stick to my 1911s, sigs, and h&ks.

Agreed, plus it's easier for most people to hit with a more manageable caliber. Especially when the moment of truth comes, and they are under extreme pressure and the adrenaline is flowing.

Five thirty eights in the torso are much better than one forty four magnum in the air.

Nice pistol! Hope you really like it and that it shoots well. You should do a review on it. I CC my 1911 w/ 5" barrel as it is the only pistol I have found where the grip fits my hand right. I carry with a similar holster, just all black.

I picked myself up as a Christmas present, a Marlin 975 .22 rifle with scope, bi-pod, and sling. I am on the hunt for some extra mags. They aren't as available as ruger 10/22 mags, but the gun itself was 1.2 the price of a ruger @ $129. I am building a nice varmint rifle Smile

I like both. I carried a revolver for my first 10 years or so in law enforcement, before the mandatory change to semi-autos. I got used to semi-autos, and eventually grew to like them very much. But, I still like the simplicity and reliability of a revolver in stressful situations.

Man I envy you guys south of the border!! Nice gun BTW. Simple, reliable and clean lines.

I can't say I've ever had a huge interest in handguns, even as a LEO. I don't target shoot and I don't collect and I can't carry it. And I don't really want to start a bashing of Canadian gun laws. I'm sure most here will agree that they're WAY to restrictive but on the other hand I know a number of people that should never be allowed to have one, (not just criminals) even if they could get one. The laws and regs around them is a joke. I have all the long guns I want, (well maybe there's just one more I'd like lol! )

However, Since I am retiring this year and will have more time, I am considering buying this nice Sig P226r in 40 cal. I want it partially because I'm considering moving north with some land where I can shoot it and partially because I don't want to get caught if the left wing gun-a-phobes find a way to get rid of my ability to even have the choice. And there's lots more to discuss about that.

I did just purchase a lovely 50th anniversary Ruger 10/22 sporter model though. I've always liked that model and couldn't pass it up at the price being offered.

I've had my LCR for about a year. I have the model w. concealed hammer and no front sight (no pocket snag version). It's lightweight but kicks like a mule. An excellent choice for close range personal protection.
