Subject: Comoy's Golden Grain 215 Restoration Sat Sep 24, 2016 7:20 pm
I've never had a Golden Grain before, this one wasn't a difficult restoration and I'm very pleased with the outcome. My camera skills don't do justice to the "golden hue" finish or the stem. I love working on Comoy's stems!
I didn't know a lot about the Golden Grain, there is some information in the blog entry below about that finish (thanks Tony Soderman!)

That pipe has more bird's-eye than a flock of finches and it's a Comoy's. You're right the camera doesn't due the golden hue justice. I've had the privilege of holding one out in the sunlight and they are magnificent. You've done a fine job cleaning that handsome pipe and you've got a keeper. Well done Al.
