Humidity's fine, and I don't believe any had been taken out of it. I'm guessing it just came unsealed during the ride to IA. I planned on trading for it anyway, so I'm going to treat it as a sealed tin.

Cheers!

It's a very good blend. I don't know who really tins it for them. But I do like those tins. Enjoy!

A thousand matches, an iron tongue, and some serious time on your hands (no, seriously, I am sure PB will update you in due course - or perhaps just go back to the first post in the thread and read on from there).

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted too many updates. I haven't had a great deal of pipesmoking time, so I've put several 1-2 bowl samples in ziplocs for future sampling. I'll have a listing of puts, takes, confirmation number, etc. posted tomorrow.

Since I didn't get signed up in time obviously,( I didn't get a reply back from my PM to the main man), do you guys have another one in the Fall? Or does the box sit around until next Spring?
again, these are more newbie questions, bear with me. Smile

Once the box has reached PD, he'll be sending part of the box to PB, and then the majority of the rest will be sent to US servicemen, and the remaining bits and pieces are up for grabs for anyone who'll pay the postage.

As for your ? about when the next pass will be, I don't know the answer.

Cheers!

Actually the box arrived yesterday but I just picked up our mail after lunch. All I can say is WOW, what a hoard! Wife is away on a girls night out tonight so I will spend the evening sorting, examining and starting on my picks.

You guys are all really sick and twisted to be sending around this quantity of top grade leaf, can't wait to join the club Very Happy

The box has come and gone. Was crazy busy all week so I had to rush this morning to make some picks and takes, hope I added something to the combined effort. It certainly is a daunting thing when you sit down to it. Got some smokes to get me down the road to my meeting this week! Yahoo!

Sent on by UPS - 18lbs - USPS was getting close to $40. Tracking number 1Z 468 R6T 03 9037 2444

Sampled:

Anniversary Cake
Pirate Cake
McClelland Dominican Glory
Petersons Sherlock Holmes
SG Best Brown Flake

Put bulk samples (roughly 2oz each):

Dunhill Early Morning Pipe (Lane bulk)
McClelland 5100+5105 blend (roughly 2 years of age on it)
Stonehaven
Early 1970's era Walnut (From a tin I opened a couple of months ago, give it a try, not like today's Walnut)

Took tins:

50g Orlik Golden Slices
50g Petersons Irish Flake
50g Dunhill Light Flake

Put tins:

100g McClelland Christmas Cheer
50gm Escudo
50gm Dunhill My Mixture 965

Plus: Sealed box/pouch - Phillip Morris Revelation from 1970's (It'll make you as smart as Einstein)

Thanks everyone for a great experience. cheers
