10% sales

This isn't intended to become political or an opportunity to rant about taxes and regulations. I think there are a couple subforums for exactly that. I'm talking about the sales themselves. Does a 10% sale motivate you to buy? Unless you're dropping a couple hundred bucks, it barely covers anything beyond free shipping or covering the state tax. Psychologically...whoopie ding. 15% gets me to at least consider buying something, and 20%, which I haven't seen in a while, actually motivates me to put in an order. What say you?

yeah 15%-20% but even with that there are a couple of sites that kill you on the shipping. SP and Cup O Joe's are generally where purchase for that reason.

10% is nice if I am already planning on buying during. I guess it's the same for 15-20%, if I wasn't already planning to buy it then even that discount won't push me any more.

Well usually the 10% off is after they raised the prices the previous month 10%, <cough, cough, P&C, cough, cough>
