Happy 4th to all. Raining heavily here in central Kentucky so sitting on the porch smoking a bowl of Margate.

Stick, my thanks to a citizen of the "Mother Country" for starting a thread on "our" Independence Day (from the "Mother Country!!!). I use this day not for just fireworks, music, hotdogs, and hamburgers; but to thank our Founding Fathers for a brilliant Declaration of Independence and the backbone to form this wonderful country. FTRPLT

Hi all, and happy Independence Day! Hope you all take a moment to read the Declaration of Independence today. It is a five minute read, thoughtfully.

Enjoyed a patriotic service at church last night and the normal family stuff today, so far. Annual raising of the new flag is a thing in my family. Not doing our own fireworks this year, we had some problems with the neighbors last year. Enjoy some 100% American tobaccos and libations if you have the chance.
