My 16 year old just got his license. He gets to drive the volkswagon for a year. He will be taking it to school tomorrow. When my older son drove it, he became known on campus for the car.

He still needs to smooth out his clutch work, but he should be fine. He has driven a motorcycle to school since he was 14 so he understands the procedure.

It is tough watching the last little bird spread his wings. He will be out of the nest in just a few years. *tear

Same here. I got a 81 Oldsmobile Omega for my first car. What a hunk of junk! My sister ended up totaling it.

My first car was a '72 Dodge Colt. I really wanted a VW Thing.
