I've never thought of bamboo shanks on a cob--it works very well. ...and now my mind is spinning with concepts of "Pimp My Cob."

The MM Patriots used to come like that. I've got one older one with a faux tortoise Walker stem; unfortunately it's not black bamboo though. I always thought a MM Freehand would great with an antler shank.
