Ok, I need my brothers help in dating a Dunhill I have just acquired. Here are all legible stampings:
One side: The letter “A” then Dunhill over London
Other side: “inner tube” over PAT No 5861/12 and the number 46
I want to list this on e-bay but want to supply the correct information about it.
Thanks to all..
Jay
Update: Upon doing much research I believe the markings to identify the following:
The “A” = Bruyere -introduced in 1910; signified by an "A" (meaning' best quality) on the side of the shank through 1975.
Inner Tube = "Inner Tube" stamped on shank through 1934
And finally the 12 after the patent number represents it’s date being 1932
I’m imagining the 46 is just the shape.
Please correct me if I’m wrong…..
