All this researching and neat history has made me almost want to start collecting Dunhills! Problem is I'm not made of money and they are only great not excellent pipes.
 
Not knowing squat about Dunhill pipes, I simply like looking at older (especially pre-WWI) era pipes, because there's an interesting poise to most of them. They are all stately and beautiful, but range from almost harshly utilitarian to weirdly garish. I figured the one you found, O, was probably the former of the two--and what good shape it seems to be in. A restorer would have that thing polished up and looking fine in no time.

Yes, I is exspurt, send all Dunhill pipes to me for verification, sorry but pipes cannot be returned, it is a one way journey for verification, but you will have peace of mind knowing it it 'was' a genuine Dunnie. No need to thank me, it's a labour of love. :twisted:
