I really enjoy Cameroon wrapper cigars, recently the H. Upmann Vintage Cameroons. Problem is that the wrappers are very delicate and I find it hard to finish a cigar without the wrapper becoming a complete mess.

Any advice on how to condition the cigar before smoking? Should they be drier or moister than normal?

Any help appreciated.

Put in a humidor and keep it at 75/80 % humidity for a few days. Should help. Used to smoke a lot of Don Thomas sun grown and they had delicate wrappers as well.

Some of my favorite cigars are made by Fuente and sport a Cameroon wrapper. I think the 75 - 80 RH thing would be good. I mean, you could spray ‘em with Spar Varnish but then the flavor is slightly off.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........fuente. I say drooling like homer Simpson. Fuentes with Cameron wrapping are awesome. Just slow down and take it easy. Just like your first date with your second cousin in the bed of a pickup truck.
