Hey guys,

A few months ago, I purchased some antique leather tobacco pouches (GBD, Comoy, and a no-name). They wreak of mildew and I am wondering if anyone has any idea how I can get the stench out so that I can use them. I tried contacting Walker Briar Works to see if I could have them put in the ozone chamber, but I was informed that ozone would completely obliterate the rubber lining. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Scott

A mixture of water some bleach, and spic and span will kill mildew, bleach alone will not kill mold and mildew, an ingredient which I can't recall, maybe phosphate? will kill the mildew/mold, the bleach should take away the odor and help sanitize, I don't think it should leave behind any odors or flavors, but I think I would try to keep them in an open airy place for a while to let them air out after the cleaning, other than that I have no idea perhaps some one else might know of something
