I just gave 9 of my Brighams a nice cleaning. I have a Senior Reamer set including the nylon brushes for the shank.
I've always cleaned the shanks with Q-tips soaked in vodka. I've nevered bothered with "shank brushes".
Well after using the Q-tip treatment, I decided to haul out the shank brush and give each shank a quick "go though". I did about 4 pipe shanks and the nylon brush gathered lots of "goob". These pipes are used solely for English blends.
Question... how do you cleaned the "goob" from the bristles?
 Paul
