Curved Bamboo

I was lusting after an Eltang elephants foot with a curved 10 knuckle bamboo shank on Tom Lookers site TheBriargallery.com. It sold. im wondering if anyone knows how rare curved bamboo is? maybe one of the pipemakers who frequent this forum will know?

Ask Adam Davidson. He says he can tie it in knots if that's what you want. Curved bamboo has simply been soaked and shaped.

Ditto that. Soaked and bent into position and dried in the bent position.
