I have gone too many years without a problem.
Now my left hand breaks out several hours after holding and slicing a tomato.
I am told its eczema.
Eucerin helps.

Who told you it was eczema? It’s “tomato plant rash”.

Which is, yeah, a form of eczema I guess.

Point is...you’re allergic to tomatoes. :drunken:

STAY AWAY from them! Right? (The patient insisted he LOVED tomatoes...til they killed him!)

I have “hay fever” and I sure wouldn’t stick my face into a bouquet of ragweed.

It is.  Eczema brought on by an irritant. In your case...tomatoes.

Check out just one of the many descriptions found via a simple google search using “tomato rash”...

From the article: (re Allergy Eczema)

“Tomato Eczema occurs in only about 10 percent of people with food allergies. However, tomatoes (along with nuts) are considered irritants to those with eczema. Symptoms of allergy-related eczema will typically occur immediately following exposure to the allergen and may include recurrent rashes, severe itching, swelling, and redness.”
