I know a lot of us browse eBay for estate pipes all the time. Recently there has been a string of fraudulent listings for nice pipes at prices too good to be true. This has come up on other pipe forums, but I haven't seen it mentioned here yet and I thought I would spread the word.

The dead giveaway is a properly worded English listing with a Chinese ship-from address.....
 
This isn't limited to tobacciana. I see this in collectible, vintage clothing. I've seen it with camping gear, like a Kelty Spectra backpack that should sell for $400-1000, depending on the model (yes, people collect outdoor gear and not to use), listed as BIN $30. I would guess many collectible genres are getting hit with this predatory crap.
