Same stuff that has been floating around but this article is a little more to the point.  Looks like the public discussion period will be ending in a month or so.  Nothing mentioned about internet sales but it makes me nervous.

So the FDA is of the opinion that pipe tobacco is an ominous threat to our health, but artficial sugars -- like aspartame, which has been linked to alzheimers disease and other neurological disorders -- is on the agency's "generally safe" list. Everyone I see smoking a pipe is clearly a full-grown, aelf-directed adult with mileage on the odometer. But aspartame -- listed as safe by the FDA -- is widely used in chewing gum and other products overtly marketed to children. If you want to see what a great job lobbyists, processed food companies -- in collusion with the FDA -- are doing to make a fortune and screw the American public, learn to read ingredient and nutrition labels. Pipe tobacco, indeed. What elephant?
