Fusilier's Ration

I smoked a bowl of Russ Ouillette's new blend Fusilier's Ration tonight. Plenty of Cyprian Latakia...too much for my preference. The Orientals were definitely in the flavor but I don't think this is going to be one of my favorites. The pressed "kake" was interesting to work with but the blend, once cut and rubbed out came off to my satisfaction...just not likely to be one of my regular preferences.

I got a sample from Russ at the West Coast Pipe show. I rather liked it, but then again, I really like Latakia and Oriental blends. I am curious now about Bengal Slice- yet another thing I'm sure I'll never get a chance to try. Oh well.

Nice. Just got a tin of it in. Looking at me right now. I am resisting though, since I have 5 tins of various make and model open and strewn about the place.

smoked plenty of the original Bengal - This is very nice! I was rather impressed.
