This is the second of two GBD's I purchased from Smokers Haven.  This one had already been restored by the shop, but I hoped to be able to work out some of the dents and scorch marks.  I detailed the additional restoration work here:

This is the first non-English GBD and is stamped "Paris, France".  I've always admired the subtle shape differences on the French-made GBD's.  I knew that the Originale line was pretty rare and made from briar that was harvested before World War II.  This one does have a slightly deeper sheen then my other GBD's, similar to older Comoys.  

The bowl top did give up it's dents and the scorch marks, which took careful work with some worn micromesh sheets.  I'm very pleased to add this one to my Rhodesian collection.
