1) Replace a roof
So far once, but it was shake shingle with asphalt shingles on top.
Unfortunately I think our second will be our current roof.
2) Replace an air conditioner.
Twice and I hope the last one lasts a long time.
3) Replace a hot water heater
Once
Maybe this just means that I am getting old and its time for a replacement.

Feel free to add your own.

Replaced the electric hot water heater in my present house the first year. That was back around '98 and it was probably the original one when the house was built in the late 70's. So that's not too bad. And in retrospect, I should have drained it and replaced the element first since that's what usually goes on those anyway.

Got the original roof still going OK but it's gonna need replacing before too long. Hopefully I'll be retired and living in AZ by then.

Got a small Sears room AC I got back in cheesehead land in the mid 80's. rarely use it now here in the Pac NW but it still works just fine.

Just replaced the dishwasher (see other thread).

No other major replacements on the horizon, thankfully.

Cheers,

RR

Roofs? yah, but hate doing them.

Retrofitted AC units, occasionally, but never a worry.

I've not purchased a new home. So when I do acquire a dwelling, I always replace the water heaters.

You just never know about them.........
