Hey everyone!  I just got a Christmas card from a sender whom will remain anonymous,  with possible name changes to protect the innocent.....may even be guilty until proven innocent in a court of law!  To that brother who sent me a card,  thank you!  It made my day.  We have had some crazy up and downs in my household.  Right as I had decided that happiness was more important than money and took a pay cut to change careers and see my family more, my wives job of 14 years decided to eliminate her position.   Still took the pay cut and new career and LOVE IT!  ok.... promise not to laugh too hard.... I traded being an exterminator for driving a Garbage truck!  I am a refuse collection and logistics specialist and have never been more happy!  My wife is regularly searching and applying for positions but hasnt found her new career yet, but she hasnt given up.  We are doing fine, just tightened the belt down a little.

Anyways how has everyone been???

Hey Alex, really good to hear from you. I'd been wondering about how you were getting on.

Hope the major changes to you and yours pan out. Sounds like you're keeping on keeping on. And a very merry Christmas!

:santa:

Cheers,

RR

Well, well.... I figured the Valkyries swept down and snatched you up! Welcome back!

Glad to see you back on here sir. Been wondering how you were doing? :afro:

I'm still adjusting to 4am wake up and 8:30pm bed time LoL, but I have the weekends off!!!! I got out of work late yesterday due to the roads being super greasy and didnt have much time to poke around on here before bed. Hopefully the county gets out and clears it up a bit and I get home at my regular time today.

Hey there Alex! Really good to see you back, old chum.

I'm sure we've all been there, selling our souls to the devil to be successful and happy. But are working hard, success and happiness intrinsically linked? I've sailed too close to the wind in the past and have learnt that a career is temporary whilst a family is permanent.

This chap puts things into perspective really well. He's funny, albeit a little rapid, but I believe his message is sound.

Welcome back!

Welcome back to the forum,  what are you smoking these days?
When I'm driving cigars, on the weekends I've been smoking cobs with Frog Morton. Felt bad, Zach invited me over for a pipe on Sunday but I was tired and felt a little under the weather and stayed at home .
