Got a great deal on a used Kirsten from BigCasino but find the draw significantly occluded--without any tobacco in the bowl!

Hmmmm. . .open the stem? I don't guess there's anything to do about the draft holes at the base of the bowl or the radiator.

Haven't smoked it yet so hopefully the design will prove true despite my misgivings.

Oh no! Don't modify it just smoke it. I know it feels odd. But, the restriction is not at the bottom of the bowl. I think it is at the stinger. Anyway, It works just fine. The small bowl makes the session over too soon. IMHO. :cyclops:

Agreed. If I could make one modification to the Kirsten it would be to ever so slightly open the airway through the aluminum tube that extends out of the stem. Actually, I'd like to see them use a better quality (more dense) lucite for the mouthpiece (in some cool colors) and give the entire mouthpiece assembly a better airflow. I don't think the issue lies in the size of the exit hole at the bottom of the bowl. I actually removed a filled bowl from the pipe, tilted my head back and sucked through the bottom of the bowl and the draw coming through it was fine.

Also, remember to have the end cap positioned correctly so the draw coming from the bowl isn't blocked. The end cap has that little hole in it, and it rotates to either open or block the bowl airway.
