Ladies and Gentlemen, I believe we're on the cusp of new FDA regulations on cigars. According to this article, the FDA will stop accepting public input July 9th. That sounds like judgment day for a lot of jobs and the future affordability of part of our hobby.
I believe that cigar smokers are a large and affluent enough constituency to stop this from occurring, but we are all going to have to be vocal about it to our representatives.
One thing is for sure, after cigars are tackled, how long will it be before they come after pipe tobacco? I'm sure they think aromatics entice children to smoke and should therefore be illegal.
