So is the braking automatic or a combination of manual and automatic? Kind of a bummer to come up on someone going slower than you are wanting to go. It does look fun.
 
There’s this kind of “ride” up on Mt Hood in Oregon...used in the Summer. Braking is not automatic but I think that the cars are automatically slowed coming into the station at the bottom. Coming up on another person presents some interesting choices. This one looks very, very professional and FAST.

Been one one of these in Bavaria. Great fun! Braking as I recall was manual. Good way of maintaining income on the ski slopes through out the year.
 
Here's one in the Great Smoky Mts that looks wicked cool. Located in Pigeon Forge, birthplace of Dolly Parton! This one looks like it offers manual braking.
