Muhammad Ali, another massive Ken Burns doc started last night. Seems PBS has been catching a lot of heat for backing Burns to the point they can't afford to put money into other documentarians, thus also not having enough creator diversity. So much so that PBS hired a director, or maybe team, to look into it? Bullshit appeasement and a waste of money. Not that Hollywood is based on merit, but from what I heard, this is beyond ridiculous. Burns is practically, if not absolutely, a national treasure of a film maker.

I thought to bury this in the "what are you watching" thread in another sub-forum here, but I thought he, and this, was worthy of its own thread. While far from perfect, and clearly doing some crappy things (because he was human), he did some fantastic things.

I have very mixed feelings about Ken Burns, precipitated by his series on the Vietnam War.
