Below is a photo of a shave mug I picked up on Ebay about a year ago. The mug is over 100 years old and could possibly be 150 years old.
We had some postal strikes in the UK when this item was listed, as a result the seller removed all of her items except those with bids on them. She had been a collector of Gollywog china. I put a bid of £75 on this item, not expecting to win - I honestly believed that it would fetch > £100.
You can imagine my amazement when I won it for £12. No postal costs either, as I collected it (due to the strike). The seller had paid £80 for it ten years earlier.
