Based on the location of the stem logo and the American hint, it could be a Kaywoodie but not likely because there is no shape number stamped on the shank. There are any number of American carvers that carved that pipe. could it be an old Mickles?

I should have read through the whole thread!!! Why did you give it up?!

Just figured anyone interested had taken a shot at it, JP.

LL must have been pretty sure that nobody would get it!

The pipe was purchased off eBay in the fall of 2007. After I received it, I found that I didn't like the stem and sent it off to LL to have a new stem made. The pipe is fairly heavy but has excellent feel in the hand and smokes well. LL modeled the stem to be similar to that of a Savinelli 616 bent billiard that was also sent along. That's why the bite is rather thick.

I can't wait to receive the package in the mail!

Thanks LL!

Doug
