I haven't bought tinned tobacco in quite some time. I blend from bulk and I'd guess on average my blends come out at about $2.65 oz. I do get emails from several on-line vendors, as I'm sure most of you do, as well. Today's email advertised several new limited editions with prices about $8.00 per ounce. If I were to purchase these locally, with MN tobacco tax being 70% of wholesale, I'd be paying about $14.00 oz.
My recent cherry/English experimental blend, 51 oz. if in tins would have cost me at least $400 and if purchased locally over $700.
What would I do without the 2022 5.9% increase in Social Security?
