Hello fellow pipers.

I am 41 years old and have been smoking since I was 19, off and on in the early years. Originally from Pennsylvania but moved to Virginia 11 years ago with my wife and son for a teaching job. My screen name should explain that I am pretty much alone in smoking a pipe as all but one of my friends are non-smokers and that guy is in Pennsylvania.

My favorite blends would be Blackpoint, American Patriot and Presbyterian although I find myself alternating others with different seasons. Lately I’ve been in an American English phase which I am enjoying very much.

That’s pretty much all for now. Hope my fellow pipers have a great day.

Welcome to the forum from the West Coast.

We all do feel as if we are the last pipe smokers.

Welcome! You're not alone here. It's the same for me. All my neighbors and friends are non-pipe smokers. Several smoke cigs, but they are snobbish toward pipers. Enjoy your time here.

Glad you are here!

I am a retired teacher myself and have launched career 2.0. I am an Episcopal priest with a parish in Indiana these days, so I am really still teaching.

For the most part, pipe smoking is viewed as a somewhat antisocial solitary activity. I smoke at home and in the office, so this does not apply so much to me. There may be changes on the horizon at work, and the office bit might change down the road.

Welcome to the group. Since you smoke Presbyterian mixture your alright in my book. Great blend.

Welcome Sam.

Please start your own thread on this forum and tell us a little about yourself. This thread was started by another new member and it's useful to keep these separate.

TIA

Cheers,
