The NY Public Library has a good archive of old images of pipes and tobacciana, mostly illustrations and advertisements, but a few photos as well. The "search" box is in the top right corner--just give it a word and go to town.

Some cool stuff in there, like diagrams from an old monograph on the equipment used to make clay pipes and an old coupon for a free pipe, sadly no longer valid. There are also some scans of text of very old essays, songs, etc.
(Of course, you also get some old images related to steampipes and the pipefish, too. So it goes.)
