Update:  Found out that the software program was installed around 2/9, so they have been working on it for 12 days.  They knew that they had a problem on IPSD weekend when everyone was ordering.  No information to the consumer until after you had placed your order, then just emails telling you they are trying to fix the problem.  Was told today my order "may" go out in the next 48 hours. :lol!:
At least you're getting emails from them, I'm getting squat.

What you outlined is what really pisses me off about this. Not that I have to wait for it, I can wait, if I'm told ahead of time I may have to wait. Instead, they advertise all these specials to get people to order when they KNOW they have a major problem and won't be able to do what their website professes, "Fulfill orders the same day if ordered by".... and not bother to insert a header on the order page with a disclaimer about the issues, and continue to send advertisements about other specials I may want when they haven't even handled the backlog mess they already have. Totally bush league and dishonest, period.

I was sent a Savinelli unfinished Billiard pipe with 11 huge fills and NO hole in the stem. Did not notice the fills until I put a coat of Bee's wax on. That was their excuse for no returns....even though the pipe should have been destroyed .....oh was I ticked off to say the least.
KEEP ON PUFFING!!!
Um, no hole? Like, you couldn't smoke it, or even draw air through it? Perhaps they filled one too many holes? I would think that was an issue with Savinelli, not the dealer...

OW
Yup, no hole was drilled at all and yes this was a Savinelli quality control issue without a doubt. I used my drill press and made the proper size hole. Fugly pipe but smokes well. This pipe was really unfinished...lol

Well, I've gotten two e-mails the past few days about how my order has shipped, yet there is no evidence of it being shipped. The tracking numbers sent were bogus. I tend to never do business with them except on days like IPSD, simply because their discount was steeper than the rest. I should have known better.

I've been waiting myself. I'm in no rush to get the order but they should do better. To be honest, I hold my nose every time I order from them but when I'm buying for the cellar I shop on price first and the 20% off was too good to pass up. I guess you get what you pay for, at least sometimes.

Same. Well, that and there are some H&H/RO blends that they carry that I love (P&C may have it's issues, but Russ Oullette is a magician with tobacco leaf).

Not to get all "neener-neener" on you guys, but my order from Monday arrived on my doorstep yesterday (Thursday). I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones that hasn't fallen victim to the new ownership's lack of focus on customer service (yet, anyway).

Tried to cancel my order today and they wouldn't allow me to do it.  D--n I guess I will have to wait and see what happens.  I am mad that I cannot correct this problem.  P & C will not allow anyone to cancel their order because they know what will happen, EVERYONE WOULD CANCEL.  They would lose a s--t load of money.  Guess all I can do is take them off my vendor list.

Oh, you can cancel your order. Call your bank or credit card provider, tell them the problem, and they'll put a stop or refund on the payment. If P&C sends you something, send it back.

This. P&C state right on their website that they fulfill orders the same day, yet they say nowhere that they are presently experiencing technical difficulties that will cause long delays in fulfillment. Therefore, they have violated their own terms of service and they forego any claims to your long overdue order, which was made in good faith by you but under false pretenses by the vendor. If you used paypal, cancel the transaction. If you used a credit card, call you card service and explain this and cancel the transaction. I'm still waiting on my order from the 19th to get past "Pending" with no replies from them to my messages sent. Simply pathetic business practices. They deserve no consideration at this point and you shouldn't feel compelled at all to sit there and wait. Calcel your transaction.

So I got my order on Friday. I ordered 2.5 lbs of McC 5100. I received 1 lb of 5100 !?!?!?!?! :fpalm: I checked my Paypal account and they adjusted the total to reflect a 1 lb purchase plus shipping. Needless to say I am calling and raising hell today. Their pick ticket in the box only shows 1 lb, but my confirmation email clearly shows 2.5 lbs. I am going to make them give me the money for shipping back as my order was over their free shipping total. Their computer problems ARE NOT my problem.

Well, my order was shipped out yesterday (I ordered on Feb. 15), and I see no charges whatsoever for whatever they sent me.

My order from the 18th is still processing. Three pounds of tobacco in the order are marked as B/O now but were not when I added them to the cart and placed the order. An email to customer service with the order number and a request for an update on status from the 25th is languishing unanswered.

This happens often to me. I oder a lot of roll your own 'pipe tobacco' for neighbors and residences, as most stuff tubes rather than use pipes. 50% of the time, there is something backordered after the box ships. Yah. After. It got to where I have a dedicated account for ordering stuff from them, as it raises hell with accounting. Collect funds, order placed, confirmation received, box arrives half full of packing materials, short various amounts. Check account, money withdrawn, some replaced, more withdrawn later without warning, paying twice for shipping for what should have been free. How is it that an account can authorize one debit, but be subjected to multiple exchanges without authorization? This dedicated account gets used like a pivot girl in a pirate porn by P&C. I have encouraged the people I order for to try different stuff to smoke, but they like what they get, when it shows up, and P&C are the only online vendors of stuff like OHM and Smoker's Pride. Fortunately, no one had loose funds for the IPSD specials offered, due to timing of their monies, so we dodged this latest fandango. More often than not, I am blamed for what happens when Granny Barnum's RedCap is missing from the shipment. You really don't want to be in her crosshairs when she's Jonesing for a smoke!

Well, basically that's why I no longer do business with P&C and would not even if they had a 50% off sale! Absolutely horrendous customer service! Anybody who has NOT received a reply on their order status should do what was recommended above......stop payment thru PayPal or your credit card company. If you receive the order take it to your local PO and send back to P&C. If you can do this on delivery just refuse the package so P&C picks up the postage fee's. I wish you ALL good luck.

Well, now I have an email with a UPS tracking number that the UPS website doesn't recognize and my order still says Pending. This ought to be interesting.

I'm wondering if you got any satisfaction when you called them Scotty? I tried calling all morning and never got anything but a busy signal.

My UPS tracking was like that for 3 days, which means they just printed the table and didn't ship it yet. Having worked in shipping and receiving at some companies, I know the trick all too well.

Also, I have heard that if you call from a number not listed on your account they're more likely to answer. I've also heard that the lady on the other end of the line is none too friendly.

I have an account with USPS, and can print shipping labels all day long with tracking numbers. But until they are picked up or I get them into their hot little hands the tracking numbers don't get logged in. Also, at many print shops and PO box locations pick ups of packages can take up to a week. I can't imagine that P&C would print labels without loaded boxes to affix them to, however....

I'm sharing the frustrations expressed in this thread. My order from IPSD still shows "Processing." I've been getting daily e-mails since the end of last week assuring me that they're working to get orders shipped as fast as possible, but so far, no shipment of my order. :x

Your Kidding.........Right?  P&C don't give a hoot in hell about customers, they think they have the market cornered.
The horror stories of there underhandedness and despicable treatment of there customers isn't a lie nor is the reason there's always complaints about them and why many don't do business with them any longer.

Nothing but a busy signal all day long, myself. I even tried to be sneaky and call Cigar International. I couldn't get anyone there to answer the phone either
