Old Virginia Tobacco Company's Seven Corner's location in Northern Virginia will be having their annual St Patrick's day Peterson pipe show and sale. It will be officially on March 17th. A Thursday. The shop manager said they will likely have the pipes through Saturday or Sunday but if you want the pick of the litter, over 150 Petersons, you should show up on Thursday as there may be no duplicates of any given pipe. Once it's gone it may be gone til next year in terms of this B&M pipe show. However, if you just want to come and check it out I  am confident there will be pipes available for the duration. That has been my experience in the past.     Johann.

OH MAN! I'm going to Vegas right before that and I doubt I would be able to get off work another day to drive up there. BUMMER.

Sounds like a really cool pipe show though!

How far is that from me?

I wonder................. I'm due for a road trip....................

Any good fishing around there?

It's essentially in Washington D.C. for estimating purposes. Fishing is possible but most guys I know that do tend to travel back outta this high paced area for it.

I have some family in Reno, NV. Regular pilgrimages of the balance of us would go to visit, most gambled or went to ski, weather/season permitting....

I would go into town with most of them and fish the Truckee River, which flows right through town, under a lot of bridges, nice greenspace alone the banks full of trees and stuff. They would tell me their circuit of casinos and I would fish my way around with them, hiking alone the river. Flyfishing Reno was a short piece I did for a publication a while ago. Funny stuff, photos, Awesome trout. There is virtually no fishing pressure to speak of.

DC might have some lunkers in the Potomac! Toss some poppers at the bass, have a pipe, etc...
