Okay, here's the deal. I mentioned in the smoking thread that I have a Peterson that is smaller than the rest and I can only get a 30 to 35 minute smoke from it. I tried Jiminks suggestion to smoke flakes in it. Tried 3 of the 4 flakes I have and only a little difference, added maybe 5/8 minutes of smoke time. Not sure why as the bowl is .75" wide and 1.25" deep, same as some of my other pipes. Maybe I puff too hard? Also feels somewhat "dainty" in my fat hand. It is a nice looking pipe, well made, smokes well, but bottom line is I just can't seem to "bond" with this pipe. So I am offering it to my BoB brothers for someone who enjoys smaller pipes, or shorter smokes. Only been smoked maybe a dozen times. Have original box and sleeve.
Only nomenclature I can find, other than Made in Republic of Ireland, and Peterson Sterling Silver is an 03 on the bottom of the stummel. I would be willing to trade for any other Peterson pipe, any English or Italian made "second", i.e. Everyman, Guildhall, etc. Even a vintage Kay Woodie. If you have one that is a good smoker but just doesn't work for you and would like to trade, PM me. Open to all options. Thanks,
Rich
