The rest of the components arrived today. After a full day of taking care of a sick 18-month-old and half day with her 4.5 year old brother, I'm far too tired to actually start mixing the tobacco.
P.S. Black latakia..............................................16 oz. 20%
Sutliff black latakia............................................16 oz 20%
Sutliff black unflavored cavendish..................... 10 oz. 12.5%
Sutliff toasted red Virginia cavendish..................10 oz. 12.5%
Sutliff 507-s stoved black Virginia...................... 10 oz. 12.5%
Sutliff TS-24 Turkish ribbon................................ 4 oz. 5%
Sutliff blending smyrna...................................... 4 oz. 5%
Sutliff blending Izmir...........................................4 oz. 5%
Sutliff TS-20 perique ..........................................6 oz. 7.5%
.........................................................................80 oz. (5 lbs.)

Next day (Wednesday morning) I just had an epiphany of "What was I thinking?" While this is very close to my other recent blends that I am enjoying, I did completely replace Sutliff matured red Virginia 515 RC-1 with Sutliff toasted red Virginia cavendish. What if switching the Virginias was a mistake? I'll have 5 pounds of a $200+ mistake.

I tried to break the blend down to a one pound quantity. After all, who, in their right mind, would want to experiment in a five pound quantity? (ME) This has a slightly lower percentage of latakia and the orientals are a bit higher.

Sutliff black latakia............................................ 6 oz 37.5%
Sutliff black unflavored cavendish...................... 2 oz. 12.5%
Blending toasted red Virginia cavendish..............2 oz. 12.5%
Sutliff 507-s stoved black Virginia...................... 1 oz. 6.25%
Blending smyrna...............................................1 oz. 6.25%
Sutliff TS-24 Turkish ribbon................................1 oz. 6.25%
Blending Izmir...................................................1 oz. 6.25%
Sutliff TS-20 perique .........................................2 oz. 12.5%
.......................................................................16 oz. 100%

And a correction for the prior post where I wrote: "I did completely replace Sutliff matured red Virginia 515 RC-1 with Sutliff toasted red Virginia cavendish." I do not know the source manufacturer of toasted red Virginia cavendish. P & C lists it as Blending toasted red Virginia cavendish. On the Sutliff website, there is no toasted red Virginia cavendish. The only toasted red Virginia cavendish I could find is C & D.
