I just won a Radice Clear EX on Ebay. It's a large billiard, clearly marked "RADICE CLEAR EX" on the shank. I know what the "clear" means but I can't find anything for EX in Radices line. Any ideas?

Well Winslow, that was the first site I went to, but, I thought, "if only there was some way to send mail electronically across the world in an instant!" On your suggestion (now filed under why didn't I think of that?) I emailed Radice mere moments ago and await their response. I hope its in English because my Italian ends at the dinner table.

You could e-mail Luca at Neatpipes.com,he designed radice's website and speaks
fluent English. The Radice family does not.
I would imagine EX denotes size of the pipe. It's not mentioned in their grading system.

Thank you Winslow, I emailed Luca at neatpipes.com and got a very quick response,

"EX" grading is no longer produced. It was used during 80's.
Today it corresponds to Clear "GOLD".
Clear "Gold" is higher than "Clear", but lower than "clear F" (straight grain)

It is the same for EX stamp. "EX" is for "Excellance"

Once again, Luca proves to be a class act and a nice guy. That will make me feel better when I one day explain to my kids why I spent their inheritance at his shop.

I used to have a wad of "Mad" money in the gun safe until I started getting the
updates from Italy every couple of weeks. :bounce:
