server uptime

At work this morning I was modifying some files on an external DNS server and noticed that it hadn't been restarted in a while.

Five years, nine months, and twenty days ago I powered that server up - and it's still ticking...

March 31, 2006.

I have two kids with uptime way less than this server.

Cool. Unfortunately, I don't exactly know what you're talking about. The only servers I know about are the people I work with, time servers.

Hey - if it works, don't fix it. Impressive Run. Are you going to restart it? Maybe apply any updates upon restart?
