Have a couple tins of McConnell's Paddington coming also picked up a fair bit of St Andrews from my local B&M its a rather nice Scottish blend that she created on her own.

Just got my order of Paddington and opened one up. Holy WOW! The intensity of the plum smell is much higher than any tin of Royal Yacht I've ever opened. Hopefully I'll get over the cold I've got soon so I can try this out and see if it lives up to the promise the tin note makes. It smells much richer than my jar of RY.

Junction Tobacco. Its inside an antique shop. Vi is the owner/blender. She's super sweet. All of her blends are truly in house blends not just relabeled 1Q. I have nothing against 1Q I just wish places would be upfront and honest with you about what they're selling. If they've added stuff to it fine but to just open a bag of 1Q put it in the jar and call it a house blend.......... I disapprove. (Climbs off soap box).

The selection isn't huge, no tins to pick from just a dozen or so house blends, and a decent little selection of cigars. She also has some nasal snuff as well as a very limited selection of pipes and accessories. After all its just a small corner of the shop. No smoking inside I'm afraid.

Geoff, be aware that this is K&K's remake of the old Dunhill recipes that they had before manufacturing shifted to Orlik. Royal Yacht tends to be a love it or hate it blend. It also tends to be on the strong side and can leave a fellow with the nic spins if you're not watching. Just saying. The price right now is better than I ever saw it for as a Dunhill blend.

I did not make it to downtown as I had hoped, wife had surgery on her shoulder at the specialist by Walmart. I have been to the newspaper\magazine place a few years ago for cigars and was not aware of any other place. Thanks

Oh wow, that takes me way back brother. I remember the magazine shop. That's been gone at least 5 years. They were gone when we moved back to Wyoming in '14. I remember going there 21 years ago when our youngest daughter was born. Hope all went well for the Mrs. I'll keep her in my prayers.

Not sure how long Junction Tobacco has been around. I don't remember them being there when we lived here before. Which would mean less than 20 years.

I had to throw that out there in the interest of fairness. After all RY is not a blend you let get sprung on somebody without a heads up lol.

Peterson is doing a version of RY? What rock was I under to have missed this?
