For years I've had this pipe stand velcroed on the steering column of my truck; however, as I've gravitated to larger pipes I find they no longer fit down in the holder, and I got tired of picking them up off the floor, or worse yet, off my lap, especially when the ashes spilled out !

...so I got busy with some scrap wood and made one with deeper and wider openings; shown here pre-new velcro and dusting .

Gonna work great I think :)

That's a great idea, I always hate having to put my pipe down in the car

I thought everyone just stuck them in their shirt pocket.

Quite the clencher, eh? Or are all the teethmarks on the stems just indicative of sublimated road rage(!)
