Yeah, I do a morning protein shake most days.  Simple, fast, easily holds me til mid-morning fruit snack time and I love ‘em.

So I have Christmas gifts to burn up and left over holiday “ingredients” to use...and had a hair brained inspiration this morning that worked out pretty darn well.  This morning I used some Slim Fast Advanced Protein stuff we had on hand.

4 - 6 ice cubes
1 scoop protein shake mix (Vanilla) (110 cal.)
1 tbsp Salted Caramel Torani Syrup (40 cal.)
1/4 C pecans (recipe style nuts) (220 cal.)
1 C Milk or Almond Milk (whatever) (110 cal.)

Total Calories = 460 as made above vs 220 without additions to standard.

I like the vanilla flavored shake...I like this a lot more...it’s about twice the calories.
